One of the best things about staying at Bear Waves Cabin is that it is only a 12 mile drive to the National Park. There are back roads from the cabin to the park that allow for you to skip the high traffic areas. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park has all the hiking trails, waterfalls, beautiful views and amazing drives. Beautiful in all seasons, it is famous in the Spring for it’s wild Rhododendrons and the breathtaking foliage in the Fall. Winter is particularly lovely with frozen waterfalls and unobstructed views when the leaves are off the trees. Summer is also fun to splash in the mountain creeks and rivers.
